Hot Buttered Rum

1.5 oz Door County Distillery Spiced Rum

1/3 cup boiling water

1 heaping tablespoon butter mixture (below)

Cinnamon sticks, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream (optional)


Add butter mixture to mug or heat safe glass. Pour Spiced Rum and boiling water over butter mixture. Stir until butter mixture dissolves. Serve hot with cinnamon stick, vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.


Butter Mixture

1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt


Add butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, vanilla extract and salt to a medium bowl. Mix until well combined.
